In order to provide an outlet for the naval elements built in the shipyards located in the Navia estuary (Asturias), it is necessary to periodically dredge the access channel to the sea from the facilities, dredging that lasts on average a few weeks and then has an inactive period of several months.

The development of a Basic Study of Coastal Dynamics determined the movement of the historically dumped sediment and made it possible to establish a new dumping proposal with the aim of indirectly contributing to the regeneration of the Navia beach.
